Inglis Premier Purchase 2026
Thursday, 05 Mar 2026

We turned up to the Inglis Premier sale with the intention to find two staying 3YO fillies that were VOBIS eligible however we walked away with the complete opposite. We ended up buying a BOBS eligible sprinting 2YO colt.
The prices this year far outweighed what we envisaged and the fillies we were there to bid on all made over $200,000 which is far beyond what we thought they would make and our budget.
We had two colts listed on our target list after looking at over 60 short listed horses. One went for $30k more than we were willing to pay and the other landed right on our top bid at $60,000. That was a Capitivant colt out of a Snitzel mare who has left a Magic Millions Debutant winner and a 2yo filly that ran 4th in the G3 Breeders down the Flemington straight before succumbing to injury and being retired before she could show her full potential. This colt looks an early 2YO. Strong, good confirmation. Scoped clean and no Xray issues. He has all of the earmarkings of a fast early running 2YO both in looks and on breeding.
There are shares still available in him and if you don't want to wait long to be at the races then he is the horse to race with us. He has gone straight to the breakers to give him every opportunity to be racing in the early 2YO races in November/December.
