Inglis Classic Purchases 2026

We made the trip to Sydney during February on the hunt for a nice filly or two in sale where buyers predominantly are looking for colts. After a few days of looking over our short listed horses 2-3 times we settled on a list of 5 fillies. Unfortunately we got outbid on three of those having gone way over our budget however we were able to secure two nice fillies at great prices.
The first of those was an Exceedence filly from a mare who has thrown a few quality horses who arguably never lived up to their promise but could have made the page look a lot better. She was a bargain at $20,000 and has been fully sold.
The second filly we purchased was a striking Pinatubo filly from a deep black type family. Her dam is out of a G1 winner who has thrown a G1 winner and we hope this girl can continue that strong black type blood line going forward. Her half brother El Salto has won 12 races and close to $500,000. She is a November filly but breeding and looks suggest she will be a 3yo anyways so the later foaling wont compromise her progress but it did mean she came into our budget and id she was 2-3 months earlier would have gone for a lot more $$. She was $65,000 and shares still remain so get in touch.
